The fight against miscreants who continue to defraud the public at illegal road blocks, collecting outrageous amounts of money and issuing fake government receipts is still on.
The BIRS tax force has acosted one Paul Tersoo Iorliam at an illegal checkpoint mounted at Community Secondary School Ikyuen, Ipav, Gboko Local Government.
The suspect who has already been handed to the police for prosecution had on him three different receipts which include;
1. Federal Mobile Sanitation Agency, Benue State Chapter.
2. National Freight Hauliers Association, Federal Ministry of Transport.
3. Benue State Government of Nigeria, Gboko L G A Revenue Receipt.
The suspect has since been handed over to the Police for subsequent prosecution.
The Executive Chairman Benue State Internal Revenue Service, Andrew Ayabam remains committed to ensuring that Benue State roads are cleared of all revenue illegalities as the service continue to drive for improved revenue generation.
